We had a birthday this week. It wasn’t the kind of birthday I was hoping for; daddies were stuck at airports unable to get home, mummies were too stressed busy to make the cake they wanted and we were forced to endure a (scrumptious) store bought mud cake and the whole day was spent in frustrated waiting that no one (unless you are one of the lucky few who controls the weather) had control over.
But the highlight of the day included this delicious beauty:
The birthday girl had one wish for her birthday. She wanted everyone to “suplise” her. So we all hid in the kitchen, lit the unicorn candle and called her in.
Then as she stepped through the door we all called “Supliiise!!!” and it was exactly how she wanted it. Some times it’s as easy as that to make their day.
The heaven sent cake topper was made by Amanda. I’d had my eye on it for a very long time and just knew it was perfect for my little princess. Amanda is so awesomely fabulous and makes things with such personality. We love it Amanda.
