Beth Rocks...really

Well the last two days weren’t a total waste of time. I sold $15.00 worth of stock at a market and painted this pretty picture of Beth.

If it wasn’t for the awesome company I had I’d be lying in bed right now crying.

Excellent! Then come and say hello to me today and Sunday at the York Jazz Festival. Myself and some other fabulous Made On The Left ladies will be hawking our wares at the craft fair.

No really, come on down. I'll be doing some painting while I'm there so it's a rare opportunity to watch a master at work.

Alright I'm Famous...Who Wants An Autograph?

Dara emailed me this link today and I thought I'd share it with you. It's a pic of me at the first Made On The Left market where I had a stall.

It's a pretty good pic actually, normally I look way worse than that...and yes, I am that grumpy.

Speaking (writing! Whatever!) of Made On The Left, Ali J and I collaborated on another poster. Personally I love it but I am kinda consumed with jealousy that I like Ali's girl more than my own. Really you're supposed to think your own kids are the most attractive. But her swinging girl just rocks.

 

We're also doing another project together soon too which I'm just as excited about. What's great about working with Ali is not only do her girls rock but she's very honest with critique. So when she says she likes something I know she's telling the truth and not just saying it to make me happy. She'll also tell me if something looks crap (but then I burst into tears and she pats me on the back and gives me a lollypop and calms me down with “Don't cry, you're not totally crap at art”).

We went on holiday to Adelaide in South Australia recently (3 hrs in a plane with a 19 month old is something else I tell ya) and it was fab. We were busy every day, stayed at the most fabulous 2 story town house right next to the city and took loads of pics.

Gettin Tactile With My Art

Sometimes a mouse and monitor don’t cut it and you have to get down and dirty with paint. I bought this frame a month or so ago and decided to paint a portrait of my two girls to go in it.

I’m pretty happy with it too...obviously they don’t actually look like that, but it’s my version of them.
